As the curtains came down on public campaigning for the assembly polls on Thursday, all five candidates worked overtime to reach out to the electorate in Canacona constituency.
Many candidates began the day with door-to-door visits, while at least two campaigning teams of prominent candidates staged motor rallies throughout the constituency.
Congress candidate, Isidore Fernandes, ended the day by visiting the electorate residing in the hinterland, which does not have motorable access. In fact, Fernandes had to cross a stream to reach the house of one of his voters at Gaunem-Gaondongrim.
Fernandes assured the residents that if elected, he would get a road constructed over a nearby bundh.
BJP candidate, Vijay Poi Khot, also had a hectic day while meeting the electorate in Agonda, while BJP rebel and independent candidate Ramesh Tawadkar was seen moving in Devabhaga and Gulem areas in municipal areas.
MGP's candidate Gourish Bandekar staged a motorcycle rally with his supporters and also moved to some places.
AAP candidate Sandesh Telekar was also involved in hectic canvassing on the last day.
