According to Old Goa police, Aman Ahmad (21) and his friend, Ajmal M K, were proceeding from Panaji to Santa Cruz at around 8 am, when Ajmal lost control of the bike and hit against a bakery, resulting in grievous injuries to the pillion rider.
Police said Ahmad was shifted to GMC, but breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
The police arrested the rider, who was later released, and also attached the bike. PSI Sagun Sawant is investigating the case.
