PANAJI: A tragic accident occurred early on Monday morning on NH 366 near Sheela Bar, Terepal, Sancoale, Goa, leaving one person dead and two others seriously injured. The accident took place around 5:00 in the morning when a car, driven by Suresh Jaggal (45) from Vasco, collided head-on with another vehicle.
Suresh was driving his car recklessly when he swerved into the wrong lane and crashed into a Maruti Ertiga coming from the opposite direction. Suresh died at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the Ertiga, Yallapa Muniswami (30), and his passenger, Nissar Ahmad (54), were both seriously injured.
The injured victims were taken to the hospital, and the Verna Police have registered a case under sections 125(b), 281, and 106(1) of the BNS in connection with the incident.
