One death, 57 new cases reported

PANAJI
One Covid death was recorded in Goa on Tuesday raising the state’s Covid victim count to 788.

The deceased person was a 30-year-old man from Calangute with ALD cirrhosis. He passed away at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim. 

Meanwhile, a total of 57 new cases of the infection were detected from among the 1,776 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed cases now stand at 54,648 of whom 479 are presently active while 53,381 have recovered.
