One found guilty in Arun Toraskar murder case

The Additional District and Sessions Court Mapusa on Tuesday termed the main accused in the Arun Toraskar murder case at Dando-Siolim in 2013 as guilty.

Judge Vijaya Pol termed the accused, Rupesh Salgaonkar (32) guilty under Section 34 (A) of IPC. Other 13 persons involved in the case were released by the court. The punishment for the accused will be pronounced by the court on Wednesday.

It may be recalled that on January 20, 2013, two groups were involved in clashes over construction of a shed in a temple premises at Dando-Siolim, where the accused Salgoankar allegedly murdered Arun Toraskar by hitting a hammer on his head.
