Bicholim Police arrested a man from Surla-Kothambi on charges of assaulting a youth from Karabhat-Chorao.
According to Bicholim Police, Purushottam Sonnaik had gone to undertake video-shooting of his ancestral property at Surla-Kothambi, when the accused, Bhanudas Sonnaik allegedly pelted stones at him.
Police said the victim was seriously injured and his camera was grabbed by the accused. The injured was rushed to Primary Health Centre Bicholim, from where he was shifted to GMC Hospital in Bambolim, where he is undergoing medical treatment.
Bicholim Police arrested the accused under Sections 326, 338, 427 and 379 of IPC and was remanded to four days police custody. He will be again produced before the court on Friday.
Bicholim PSI Gaurish Parab is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
