One injured in accident at Dabolim
VASCO: A 62-year-old native of Delhi, but presently residing at Margao, was injured in an accident near Hansa Gate Dabolim on Thursday.
Chandrashekar Arora who was sitting in the passenger seat in the front of the car injured his left hand in the accident.
Vasco Police received a call at about 11.30 am about the accident and on reaching the site found that the car (GA-08-F-2375) had crashed into a cut portion of a hillock near Hansa Gate.
Police said that the driver of the car informed that the front tyre suffered a puncture and as a result the car drifted towards the left side and crashed into the roadside hillock.
The police added that Chandrashekar's hand which was out of the window got jammed between the car and the hillock and as the car moved forward his hand suffered extensive injury. The police said they managed to open the car door and moved him to a private hospital at Chicalim.
