A 24-year-old resident of Bethora-Ponda died after he was knocked down by a car at Banastarim bridge late Wednesday night.
According to Ponda Police, the accident occurred when the car (GA-09-A-2236) was proceeding towards Ponda, while Pravin Madkaikar was proceeding on his motorcycle (GA-05-E-0282) from the opposite direction.
Police sources informed that the car driver along with two other occupants fled from the spot, but could not take the car along with them as one tyre burst in the accident.
Ponda Police is investigating the case.
