Another case of a teacher contracting the dreaded Coronavirus has been reported on Wednesday from an institution housed at the Cujira school complex, shutting its physical classes on instructions from the authorities until further notice.
This is the second case of a teacher testing positive for Covid in Goa in two days. On Tuesday, one teacher from a school in Usgao had tested positive which had similarly suspended their physical classes.
On Wednesday, Mushtifund High School and Higher Secondary School, Cujira Complex, Bambolim suspended physical classes after a teacher teaching there tested Covid positive.
“In order to have proper sanitisation for entire premises from tomorrow (Thursday) the school will remain closed upto Saturday (December 12) and will reopen on Monday (December 14). However, teachers are instructed to take online classes as before during these holidays,” informed the school management.
Schools across Goa commenced physical classes for Std X and Std XII on November 21 as per Education Department guidelines.
CM puts on hold plans to reopen classes IX to XI
PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant has kept on hold the decision to resume classes of Std IX and XI. It may be recalled that the government was actively considering reopening the two classes from early January 2021 after holding discussions with stakeholders.
