MARGAO
Exuding confidence in winning 22 seats in the ensuing polls, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said only the BJP will be able to form a government, saying the opposition is only dreaming to come to power.
The Chief Minister further said the party manifesto will lay stress on the farmers and those involved in cultivation, saying the party has planned a plan of action for the farmers and the farm sector in the next five years.
Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said Opposition leader Digambar Kamat is only dreaming that Congress will return to power and become the Chief Minister.
“People of Goa are aware that the State had the worst government during Kamat’s stint as chief minister between 2007-2012 when the state had many scams. The people are still suffering to date because of bad governance by the Kamat government”, he added.
The Chief Minister further said that a host of outside parties that have come to establish a foothold in the State will not make any impact on the people of Goa.
“The double engine government ruling the State has toned up the infrastructure as well as ushered in human development. The Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has supported Goa’s infrastructure development”, he said.
