Oppn challenged for debate on govt’s development works

Stating that opposition have become frustrated, Union Minister for Ayush Shripad Naik challenged the opposition to debate through the media the developmental works undertaken by the government in the State.

He was speaking at the BJP workers meet organised at Arambol on Saturday. Chief Minister Parsekar, BJP State president Vinay Tendulkar and others were present.   
Two minutes silence was observed to pay tributes to former chief minister Shashikala Kakodkar.   
Speaking further, Naik said as elections are approaching, the opposition are spreading rumours about the government. “Don’t believe in such rumors. Those distributing flyers regarding BJP government should be questioned what they have done for the common people during their tenure,” he said.   
“Opposition won’t keep quiet just by giving answers in words. People should reply to the opposition by electing us again in the State,” said Naik.   
Naik appealed to the Goans to elect BJP again for the development of the State.   
Goa BJP State president Vinay Tendulkar said many candidates want to contest the election in Mandrem constituency.   “We have to elect 26 BJP MLAs in the upcoming elections and Mandrem citizens should give scope to Chief Minister Parsekar,” appealed Tendulkar.   
Parsekar said Congressman should not worry about the work done by the BJP government for last 4 and half years. “Congress party should openly tell the people 
what they did when it was in power for last 24 years,” added Parsekar.   
Arambol ZP member Arun Bankar, Tuem Sarpanch Prajkta Kannaik, Keri Sarpanch Yashwant Narvekar, Palyem Sarpanch Dayanand Parab, Agarwaddo Sarpanch Shashikala Damaji, Mandrem BJP block president Ramesh Shet Mandrekar, Mandrem BJP block general secretary Santosh Korkhankar, secretary Adv Sitaram Parab and others were present.
