MARGAO
Terming the move by the Aam Admi Party to go solo in the coming polls in Goa as “posturing”, Goa Forward Party Chief Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday said the opposition parties will have to come together to take on the BJP or get exposed before the people.
Saying he do not want to comment on what is happening between the Congress and the Aam Admi Party, Sardesai, however, said the AAP decision to go alone in the Zilla Panchayat and Municipal elections, besides the 2027 Assembly election is apparently an act of posturing by the Arvind Kejrival-led party.
“It is not proper for me to reply on that Congress and AAP. But, I think what AAP has said appears posturing. For, no party will talk about alliance at this stage, more so after losing the Delhi Assembly election. Moreover, the local leadership of AAP had time and again favoured unity of opposition parties to dislodge the BJP”, he said.
He added: “Those who want to organise and strengthen their parties will not talk about alliances at this stage. This is pure posturing”.
He, however, hastened to add that the opposition parties will have to come together in the coming days or get exposed in the eyes of the people.
The Goa Forward Chief held his darbar at the Goemkar Ghor on Tuesday, listening to the grievances of the public ahead of the Assembly session scheduled later this month.
