Ordinary meet of CCP today

The ordinary meeting of the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) will be held on September 7, nearly two months after the last meeting was held.
While 16 items have been listed on the agenda, some of them include declaration of the open-defecation free wards, approve the proposal to revise building plans of Phase I and II of the construction of CCP building, strengthening the technical wing of the urban local bodies (ULBs), regularisation of contract and daily wage labourers, according approval for revival of lapsed posts, among others.
Additionally, approval of mobile app for payment of tax collection, trade and occupation, etc through Kotak Mahindra Bank, decision about the demand of Employees Association to implement seventh Pay Commission to CCP employees have also been listed on the agenda.

Govt planning to give ITI students chance to operate its guest houses

PANAJIAiming at providing hands-on training, State Government is exploring the possibility of giving its guest houses on nomination basis to ITI students. Speaking in this regard Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar stated, "Within eight days I will release a note stating that government is ready to give its guest houses, circuit houses, guest houses at Factories and Boilers, on nomination basis if students are ready to operate these.
