BICHOLIM:
The festival was hosted by Vinod Harishchandra Raikar and Vinita Vinod Raikar from Calangute and various religious rituals like Shri Ganeshpoojan, Swasti Punayahwachan, Panchamrut Abhishek, Rudrabhishek, Aarti, Tirthprasad and Mahaprasad were performed in the morning.
Later in the evening, the Shantadurga Bhajani Mandal of Sangolda staged a Bhajani programme, followed by Pooranwachan. The palanquin of Goddess Mahamaya Kalika was taken in a procession at night, accompanied by a traditional musical band.
