PANAJI
One of Panaji city’s most popular street food vendor, Sandeep Bhosle, passed away on Saturday after an illness surprising a legion of loyal clients and friends.
Originally operating his street food cart adjacent to the Garcia de Orta municipal garden, Bhosle was known for his flavourful chicken xacuti and ‘Ross Omelette’.
He moved to a permanent location at a ground-floor shop in one of the high-rise buildings along the Atmaram Borkar road a few years ago.
Hardworking and punctual, opening his outlet sharp at 6 pm, Bhosle had faced health issues for several years, the heat from frying omelettes hitting his eyes and affecting his eye-sight over a decade ago.
Family sources said he had not been keeping good health for the past few months and had stopped going to the shop which was then being managed by his son.
