Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was on Sunday evening admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital as fears over his health have re-emerged.
The Chief Minister’s office in a terse statement said the chief minister was admitted on account of “slight dehydration” and low blood pressure.
“He was taking treatment at home, but doctors at GMC advised to treat him at the GMC. He is well and responding to treatment and under observation,” the Chief Minister’s Office said in a statement.
The Chief Minister was discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Thursday morning and in a move that surprised many made it a point to attend the last day of the curtailed Budget session of the Assembly.
“With all humility and with the support prayers and well wishes of not only honourable members of this house but lakhs of my Goan brothers and sisters including leaders of various communities and religions, I stand before this august House with renewed strength and confidence to present the annual financial statement of 2018-19,” the Chief Minister said in his first words on the floor of the House.
Later while leaving the complex he said: “Nothing is wrong with me. I have been asked not to maintain close contact”.
