It has an exhibition society, which has sufficiently large funds available. Over a period they it has accumulated funds. It can build up a state-of-the-art exhibition ground where not only defence but many other exhibitions can be held. That way, Goa will be able to host expos throughout the year. Quepem, Mormugao and Salcete talukas will benefit in terms of business. This is my personal opinion,” Parrikar said. rHe, however, insisted that there is no proposal from the Defence Ministry. “When I was the defence minister it’s a separate story. Today I am not defence minister,” Parrikar said.
Parrikar says DefExpo will be good for Goa
Defence Expo will be a golden opportunity for Goa, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said. rnParrying questions from journalists over whether Goa will once again play host to the Defence Expo as it was one and a half year ago, Parrikar said that at the moment there wasn’t any such proposal.
