Parrikar to meet pvt shack owners today

CANACONA: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will hear the grievances of private property shack owners at Palolem on Tuesday evening.

According to Canacona BJP Youth Wing president Pankaj Naik Gaonkar, Parrikar will listen to the grievances of private property shack owners, after he addresses the people at Palolem Club House at 6.30 pm.

Naik Gaunkar, who is also the vice-president of All Goa Private Property Shacks and Huts Owners Association, has requested the shacks owners to remain present and express their grievances to seek solutions from Parrikar.

BELAGAVI With Goa going to assembly poll on February 4, authorities have imposed a complete ban on sale of liquor in the places bordering Karnataka and Goa. According to a government press release, in order to maintain law and order during the assembly election in Goa, the State government has banned the sale and transportation of liquor in 10 kms in the districts bordering Goa.The ban will commence from the midnight of February 1 till the midnight of February 4.
