Parrikar to party workers: don’t get instigated by opponents

Stating that BJP’s strength is to work unitedly and peacefully and maintain calm while campaigning, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has advised party workers to restrain themselves from indulging in any sort of violence and maintain cool, even if opponents instigate them.

He was speaking after Porvorim BJP candidate Guruprasad Pawaskar took the blessings of deity Pundalik and started his election campaign.
Parrikar said BJP candidate Pawaskar is a young and dynamic individual and knows the pulse of the common man. “He does not believe in vote-bank politics and hence is liked equally by all sections of the society. He will definitely work for betterment of Porvorim and will not indulge in social evils like corruption, extortion, destruction of green cover, etc,” added Parrikar.   
Bal Bhavan president Kunda Chodankar said the opponents are disturbed by looking at the support the BJP candidate was getting in Porvorim and are resorting to violence. “Pawaskar has demonstrated his skills by organizing various socially beneficial activities in Porvorim and there is no doubt that he will work for the progress of Porvorim,” added Chodankar.   
Pawaskar said he will work to transform Porvorim into a model constituency.

Praful says Cong party giving walkover for communal forces

Senior leader Nationalist Congress Party Praful Patel on Tuesday accused the Congress party of giving a virtual walkover to the communal forces led by the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the party would have no hesitation in going it alone.
