CANACONA
Stating that the MLAs elected on the Congress ticket who had deserted the party to join the BJP were traitors, AICC General Secretary and Goa Desk Incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao said the people were now fed up with the BJP and were looking for the Congress to take over the government.
Rao was addressing leaders of the members of Canacona Congress Block, Canacona Congress Youth Block and Canacona Congress Mahila Block on Monday evening.
“In the last elections, the BJP was rejected by the people of Goa and yet they governed the State for five years, turning Goa's fortune from a good standing to bad.”
“Goa is the worst affected state in the country with over 3,000 Covid deaths due to mismanagement and yet, the BJP government claims they have controlled the Covid situation.”
“People are now fed up with the BJP and are looking for the Congress to take over. The upcoming elections in Goa will send strong signals for a change in the country,” said Rao, while advising Congress workers to strengthen the party at the booth level by reaching out to people and achieve over 6,000 in the next fortnight.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar, South Goa Congress President Joe Dias, GPCC General Secretary Janardhan Bhandari, Secretary Mahadev Dessai and executive member Daya Pagi also spoke on the occasion.
