Goa Forward Party Joint Secretary John Nazareth on Monday challenged Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar to come clear on his statement that some MLAs are taking money for jobs, while he did not.
The Goa Forward has made this demand after a video of Kavlekar making the alleged statement went viral on social media.
At a news conference, Nazareth said Kavlekar should make it clear who is taking money.
“Kavlekar’s statement indicates a job scam in the State. Earlier, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had made a statement that some people had been looting people using his name under the pretext of giving jobs,” said Nazareth.
“The high court should take suo moto cognisance of the alleged scam in jobs, he added.
Nazareth said each department advertising posts separately had created more confusion and said the government should have advertised these posts at one location.
