The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Mapusa further extended the police custody of Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh, charged with drugging and killing BJP leader Sonali Phogat last month.
The accused were produced before the magistrate on Thursday seeking additional police custody. The JMFC had earlier remanded them to 10 days of police custody which was extended by two days this week.
The Anjuna police is investigating the sensational murder of Phogat, investigation of which has led to many twists and turns with new revelations surfacing every single day.
Meanwhile, the Goa police team that visited Haryana, Gurugram and Noida for investigation last week, returned to Goa with evidence collected during their investigation.
Statements of witnesses are also included in the file, which have been submitted to superiors.
