Housing Minister and Saligao MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar has stated that a physiotherapy centre will be constructed on land owned by Provedoria at Pilerne. “Talks are in progress and once this physiotherapy centre is constructed, residents and especially senior citizens of Pilerne and surrounding areas will benefit from this physiotherapy centre,” said
Salgaonkar.
The minister was speaking at Guirim after inaugurating a blood donation, dental and ayurveda camp organised by Guirim Panchayat in association with MD Real Estate and Developers, BNI Titans, Goa Medical College Hospital, Bambolim and Ved Ayurveda Bhavan. A number of people from Guirim participated in the camp.
Salgaonkar said such medical camps would help those people who did not have the time to go to Goa Medical College to donate blood and to the Goa Dental College for regular dental
checkups.
“Similar camps will be held at Saligao on June 21 and Nerul on July 6,” he
said.
Commenting on development works, Salgaonkar said his priorities are to provide water, power and good roads to residents. “Once this infrastructure is put in place, I will address other development works such as construction of grounds, children’s park, community centres, etc,” said Salgaonkar.
Alex Coutinho and Nukul Bengre also spoke on the occasion.
