‘Will ensure river navigation is put to best public use’

Newly appointed River Navigation Minister Milind Naik has assured to put river navigation to the best public use in the State.  

Speaking to reporters alongside a function to launch the beautification and development of Kalavati Mandir grounds at Sada on Wednesday, Naik said the BJP government has been working in the interests of the people. “I had the main portfolio of urban development with me and I have undertaken extensive developments projects across Goa through the department in the last one year. Besides, there are a lot of projects in the pipeline. Now, I have been given another new portfolio of river navigation and I will be meeting all officials of this department and conduct a review meeting, to have a proper understanding of this department. I will take over the department in a day or two.”  

“After the meeting, I will see what benefits can be offered to the public from this department. I have headed important ministries like power and urban development and similarly, I will work to do justice to this new department. I will try and ensure that this department is put to the best public use,” said Naik.
