PANAJI: Police Inspector of Maina-Curtorim Gurudas Gawade has been promoted to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) on ad-hoc basis. The order to this effect were issued by Director General of Police Dr Muktesh Chander.

PORVORIM: The Reis Magos village Panchayat has decided to segregate dry and wet garbage separately and send it to the garbage treatment plant at Saligao from October 1. Reis Magos Sarpanch Sheilesh Parulekar said about 800 kgs to 1 tonne of garbage is being generated every day in the panchayat area.
