A lady pillion rider lost her life after she fell on the road as the rider lost balance when a stray dog suddenly came onto the road.
The mother-son duo of Ajit and Gulabi Chodankar were returning home at Bapsora-Velim on their two-wheeler from Morpilla on Thursday evening.
Cuncolim police informed that when the two-wheeler reached Gwaliwadda-Betulim at around 7 pm, a stray dog suddenly came in the middle of the road during which the rider Ajit applied breaks, as a result of which the pillion rider Gulabi Chodankar fell and sustained grievous injuries.
The victim was rushed to the South Goa district hospital from where she was shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
The Cuncolim police informed that Gulabi succumbed to her injuries while underground treatment at the GMC. The police is investigating.
