MARGAO: The Colva police booked more than 50 persons who are suspected to have allegedly restrained vehicles carrying staff members of a Mobor-based hotel.
Plaint over illegal restraint at Varca
According to Colva police, the incident occurred on December 31, when the hotel staff members were proceeding for the annual day function at the Varca-based hotel.
They have been booked under Sections 143, 341 r/w 149 of IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
One booked for misappropriation
MARGAO: The Colva police have registered an offence against a J&K native, who is suspected
to have allegedly misappropriated gold items and precious items worth over Rs 6 lakh.
According to Colva police, the incident was reported on December 31, when the complainant, one Ammir of Cavelossim, claimed that the suspect was in charge of jewellery stones and other gold items since 2013. During this period, the suspect allegedly misappropriated gold items and allied valuables, all worth Rs 6,71,358.
The Colva police have registered an offence under Section 408 of IPC.
Motorcycles stolen at Nevelim
MARGAO: In a case of theft reported on December 31, reported at Navelim, unidentified
culprits stole a motorcycle belonging to Raia resident, one Rosebern. The Margao
police have registered an offence under Section 379 of IPC.
