According to Prabhu, Hemant Phadte who is contesting from Ward 6 of Chicalim Panchayat has filed a complaint against Yadav, who is contesting from Wards 4 and 6 of Chicalim Panchayat, stating that Yadav has two EPIC cards, one of Goa State and the other from his native place at UP.
“Sangita Bhosle, who is contesting from Ward 4 of Chicalim, has filed a complaint against Sunita Devi Yadav, who is also contesting from Ward 4 of Chicalim, stating that Sunita is in possession of two EPIC cards, one of Goa State and the other from UP.”
Prabhu added that Phadte and Bhosle have supported their allegations by attaching xerox copies of the latest voter’s list and electoral roll of Bungra-Bhadshapur UP, the native place of Kamla Prasad Yadav and his wife, Sunita Devi.
“I will conduct a hearing on Saturday and will send a report to the State Election Commission to initiate necessary action,” said Prabhu.
Despite efforts, Kamla Prasad Yadav did not respond to calls made to him for his comments in the matter.
Prabhu said his office will be working on Saturday and Sunday to complete the process of the scrutiny.
