Porvorim Primary Health Centre (PHC) Health Officer Dr Vikas Naik has said the PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (ABHIM) which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday would benefit the six sub-health centres under the Porvorim PHC.

“There are six sub-health centres in Penha de Franca (3), Socorro (2) and Salvador do Mundo (1) which fall under the jurisdiction of the Porvorim PHC. Healthcare workers in these six sub-health centres provide outreach services such as immunisation, basic curative care services, maternal and child health services and preventive services.”
“It will now be possible to upgrade theses sub-health centres under this new scheme so that better services can be provided to people in rural areas,” said Dr Naik.
