The trailer bares it all ahead of the hectic poll campaign “ BJP’s star campaigner and vote getter in the South Goa Lok Sabha seat is going to be none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Modi ki guarantee.
It’s still unclear whether the Prime Minister will come down to Goa ahead of the May 7 poll to drum up support for the party candidates. Modi, however, seemed the name of the game for the state BJP leaders as the Prime Minister’s name is invoked during interactions with the karyakartas.
In fact, do not surprised if the BJP goes around the constituency seeking vote for Modi to pave way for the Prime Minister’s return to power to play his third successful innings in 2024.
As the BJP candidate Pallavi Dempo seemed learning the finer aspects of politics as she kicked off her campaign in right earnest for the South Goa seat, Prime Minister Modi’s name seemed to have come in handy for the local BJP leaders to drum up support for the saffron brigade.
Consider this: During Pallavi’s visit to Margao during the weekend, a seasoned Congress-turned-Margao MLA Digambar Kamat made a bold mention that Pallavi Dempo is the candidate given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And after a pause, Kamat wondered whether party workers will ever allow Modl’s candidate to be defeated in the husting.
State Party leaders also take care to explain the karyakartas that the Dempos are not alien o the BJP or Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While addressing party workers in Margao, State BJP President Sadanand Tanavde reminded that Pallavi’s husband, Baba Dempo was an invitee at Ayodhya when even state BJP leaders did not enjoy the privilege of attending the religious ceremony. That’s not all. Tanavade sought to drive home the point that Baba Dempo shared a relationship Modi when the Goa-based industrialist set up his business venture in the Prime Minister’s home state of Gujarat.
The BJP South Goa candidate too did not stop invoking Modi’s name in her speech. At every meeting, she lays emphasis on Prime Minister’s stress on Nari Shakti and Yuva shakti, and the highway network executed by the Modi government in Goa in the last 10 years.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was no exception either. Joining Pallavi’s campaign in Quepem constituency on Sunday, the Chief Minister stressed on Modi’s schemes and the Prime Minister Viksit Bharat 2024 vision. And, before winding up his brief speech, the CM did reminded the karyakartas how Modi has fulfilled the promises including scrapping Article 370 and to implement the CAA in the country.
