Passengers and staff at Dabolim airport were in for a surprise to find Pralhad Modi, younger brother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arriving at Dabolim Airport with no security and fanfare, during his maiden visit to the State on Thursday.

Pralhad Modi, who is also the vice president of All India Fair Price Shop Dealers' Federation, arrived at Dabolim airport at around 5.15 pm with no personal security or additional security at the airport.

As news of his presence at Dabolim airport spread, many people began taking photos of him and some even tried to take selfies with Modi.

Speaking to reporters at Dabolim Airport, Modi said he had never seen Goa and wanted to visit the State.

Many taxi operators, airport staff and locals were in awe of the man, who walked out of the airport without any fanfare and was received by some people aware of his visit in the State, before proceeding to an undisclosed place in North Goa.
