CANACONA
The Poinguinim panchayat, the largest of the panchayats in Canacona taluka, is set to usher in 19 different development works worth Rs 1.22 crore.
Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar launched one of these works, the construction of a protection wall from Mahalwada to Galgibaga road, in the presence of Poinguinim Sarpanch Savita Ramesh Tawadkar, ward panch and Dy Sarpanch Sunil Paingankar, PWD engineers, officials, and panch members.
Tawadkar praised the Poinguinim panchayat for pursuing the development works for the welfare and progress of the village.
The 19 projects worth Rs 1.22 crore planned include sewerage systems, construction of footbridges, protection walls, roads, etc., in all wards of Poinguinim Panchayat.
Sewerage systems will be constructed in the wards of Amone, Dabhel, Pasal, Galiem, Kudal, Kharegal, Mahalawada, and Partagal; road works in Amone; footbridges in Aframent, Khawat, Shisheval, and Welwada; and protection walls in Ardhafond and Mahalawada wards.
Protection walls will be constructed at three places in Mahalawada, near Sapnil Paingankar’s house, near Anand Sudhir’s house, and near Vishwas Prabhugaonkar’s house.
