The Cuncolim police have arrested a person from Calangute in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a minor girl from the lawful guardianship of her aunt.
In her complaint, the aunt of the minor alleged that on September 23, 2026, at Paroda, Quepem, the accused allegedly kidnapped her minor niece from her lawful guardianship.
During the investigation, the police rescued the girl from Calangute and lodged her at Apna Ghar, Merces.
The accused has been arrested under Section 137(2) of the BNS and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act.
