Vasco police have registered a case against two individuals on charges of trespassing and assaulting a Person with Disability (PwD) at Vaddem-Vasco on Monday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 1.55 pm when the accused, Caitan Xavier of Vaddem and Santosh Ajgaonkar of Vasco, allegedly entered the property of the complainant, Sankalp Naik.
According to the complaint, Caitan Xavier abused Naik and slapped him, while Santosh Ajgaonkar allegedly assaulted him with a fist blow, causing him injuries.
The police have registered an offence under Sections 329(3), 352, 115(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Sections 92(a) and (b) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Mayur Sawant of Vasco Police Station under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
