A stretch of the main road at Honda has been inundated on account of the poor gutter system in the area, as continuous rains affected several parts of Sattari taluka on Tuesday.
Traffic was disrupted as motorists, especially two-wheelers struggled along the inundated portion of the road between Honda and Valpoi.
Locals have blamed the Honda panchayat and PWD for failing to take action to prevent this problem, which they claimed had been recurring for many years.
The rapid development of Honda has led to increased traffic along the Honda-Valpoi road, but locals claimed the infrastructure like better roadside gutters have not been made provided in the area.
