The Xavier Centre of Historical Research (XCHR), Porvorim, is set to launch a new edition of its beginner-level Portuguese language course, Aprender Português (Level A1.1), open to both researchers and the general public interested in learning the language. Jointly certified by XCHR and Camões-CLP, Panaji, the course will run from October 27 to December 8, 2025, with sessions scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 6 pm to 8 pm, at the XCHR premises.
The course will be conducted by Blanche Mendonça and Délio Mendonça, both native speakers with extensive experience in Portuguese language and culture. Blanche holds a degree in Portuguese and has served at the Embassy of Brazil for over 35 years, while Délio has taught Portuguese Literature and Culture at Goa University and was recently Dean and Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
