Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte said BJP ‘karyakartas’ have worked hard towards the victory of their candidates.

Both Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte as well as Saligao MLA Kedar Naik were upbeat over BJP’s performance at the Zilla Panchayat polls in their constituencies on Saturday.
Both Khaunte and Naik cast their votes in the morning itself and were closely monitoring voting trends in their respective areas.
While voting began on a low key in the ZP constituencies of Penha de Franca, Socorro and Reis Magos, it picked up as the day progressed and BJP workers were active in persuading voters to exercise their franchise.
By afternoon, long queues were witnessed at many polling booths in Penha de Franca, Socorro and Reis Magos ZP constituencies.
Speaking to media persons, Khaunte said the BJP ‘karyakartas’ have worked hard towards the victory of their candidates, Sandeep Salgaonkar (Penha de Franca ZP) and Amit Asnodkar (Socorro ZP).
Saligao MLA Kedar Naik told reporters that he had visited each and every polling booth of his Reis Magos constituency and was confident that BJP candidate Reshma Bandodkar would win by a substantial margin.
