The trail in the Porvorim shooting case led the Crime Branch to Mumbai, where its team arrested the eighth accused, Dinanath Kori, after tracking his movements in the Sion-Trombay
Road area.
According to the Crime Branch, it received credible information about the movement of the 32-year-old in the Sion-Trombay Road area. The team subsequently intercepted and arrested him.
“During the investigation, Kori identified two vehicles allegedly used in the commission of the offence — a white Toyota Corolla bearing registration number MH-12-CY-1949 and a golden Maruti Suzuki SX4 bearing registration number MH-02-BD-2508. Both vehicles were traced and seized under attachment panchanamas in the presence of a forensic science laboratory team. They will now be subjected to further forensic examination as part of the investigation,” the Crime Branch said.
