PORVORIM
A voter from the Defence colony in Porvorim complained that the indelible ink applied to her finger disappeared shortly after washing her hands with water.

Reboni Saha said she had gone to vote at the polling booth near the electricity department at around 7.15 am. After returning home, she washed her hands with soap and water and was surprised to note that the ink applied to her finger had disappeared. She went back to the pooling booth and registered a complaint in the matter.

Later in a statement, officials from the office of DEO and North Goa Collector reiterated that reports of disappearing ink had been verified to be misleading and said voters can be assured that the ink is indeed indelible and long-lasting.

“Complaints about disappearing ink from a particular polling booth in North Goa Parliamentary Constituency have surfaced on multiple social media handles. In this regard, officials from the District Election Officer's office have examined incidents and have reiterated that all such reports are misleading. Voters can be assured that the ink is indeed indelible and long-lasting,” stated a message on ‘X’ issued by the Department of Information.
