A 50-year-old electricity employee from Bogda-Vasco died in a road mishap at the underpass at Goa Velha on Sunday.
Prashant Bagkar was proceeding towards Panaji on his scooter when he was knocked down by an oncoming KTC bus driven by Sankesh Bhosle (51) of Aldona.
Bagkar was seriously injured in the mishap and was shifted to the GMC hospital at Bambolim, where he died while undergoing treatment.
Agassaim police arrested the bus driver in this connection, and he was later released on conditional bail at night.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Hrishikesh Raikar under the guidance of Police Inspector Anant Gaonkar.
