OLD GOA
Call it a mere coincidence or a deliberate attempt to scuttle the programme of induction of Ramrao Wagh into the AAP. But the power was cut at Mandur for over two hours just when the function was about to begin.
However, AAP had come prepared as they used the genset to power the lights for the stage and the sound system, which ensured that the function went ahead even though the entire surrounding was in darkness.
AAP leaders used the opportunity to hit out at the opponents for such gimmicks, which they said showed that they are afraid of the popularity of AAP.
The leaders also condemned the incidents of tearing of AAP banners earlier in the day, which only showed the frustration of individuals who are afraid of losing in the ensuing Assembly election.
