GIPARD sets all-time record for holding most training sessions

The Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development has set a new record of all time highest training sessions with record participation. This year in spite of Covid restrictions for two months initially GIPARD in nine months from April to mid December has reached to 13000 participants with 240 plus programmes.
The last highest was 8764 participants in the year 2016-17.
GIPARD is providing important training regarding capacity creation building for self help groups in rural development. Also training is given to Goa Public service officers and other administrative staff, even to police officials including senior cops.
Interesting to note that on the Goa Revolution Day programme on June 18 around 2585 persons attended online webinar.
GIPARD has carried out various training activities in the sectors of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Disaster Management, Women Development and Public Administration. Besides various Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities related to COVID-19 pandemic have been conducted and information disseminated to the Local Bodies, Health Centres under Directorate of Health Services etc.
The training session on subjects like Local Self Bodies and their role in the management of COVID-19, Post Covid Do's and Don'ts. Role of self help groups in Covid management were held.
With regard to rural development training Programme on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Self help groups, Training Programme on “e-Gram Swaraj Application '' for clerks and secretaries of Gram panchayats. foundation training for newly elected councillors, ZP members training, Role and Responsibilities of Functional Committees for the Committee Members, people's plan campaign awareness, awareness on Swachh Bharat Mission, Disaster Management, bookkeeping for Self help groups, awareness on climate change, awareness on human rights and children rights etc was held.
With regard to capacity creation building for self help groups in rural development around 100 plus programmes were held which was attended by the 5500 plus participants.
