The South Goa Session Court on Friday recorded the evidence of two witnesses in the Power rebate scam case allegedly involving former Power Minister Mauvin Godinho.
Mauvin was not present in the courtroom as he has been granted a permanent exemption from appearing in the case.
Sessions Judge Irshad Agha, who has been appointed Special Judge by the High Court to try criminal cases involving politicians, on Friday recorded the statement of witness Jayant Sambari.
The Court also recorded the statement of prosecution witness Arun Baraganza on Friday. Cross-examination of the witness has been partly completed. The cross-examination will take place at the next date of hearing on June 16.
