Salvador-do-Mundo Sarpanch Sandeep Salgaonkar confirmed receiving the letter on February 24, and said the survey plan and the list of survey numbers have been displayed on the notice board. “This was also informed to the villagers at the gram sabha

Salgaonkar further said as many as 268 survey numbers covering 8,16,409 sqmts in Salvador-do-Mundo have been identified as private forest land. “SLEC has even identified small areas of 75 sqmts as forest area. The office of SDFO has requested the public to submit representations/objections addressed to Chairman SLEC North Goa Division located in its office before March 17.”
