OLD GOA
A day after the Chimbel gram sabha called for revoking of the license to the project near the Hindu crematorium, RGP leader Ajay Kholkar filed a plaint with the deputy town planner and called for a joint inspection of the project.
In the plaint submitted to Deputy Town Planner K Ashok Kumar on Monday, Kholkar has pointed out various discrepancies and false statements in the plan approved by the TCP.
Kholkar has pointed out that the existing road has been shown as 10 metres which is not the case.
“Crematorium is not shown in the approved plan as shown in the Regional Plan and property register details issued by the Department of Land & Survey Records,” Kholkar pointed out in his plaint.
Further, Kholkar stated that in the open space shown in the approved plan, there already exists several structures which are not shown.
Citing other discrepancies, Kholkar said the owner has submitted an affidavit to the Chimbel panchayat acknowledging the existence of a crematorium but had consciously failed to show the same in the plan submitted to the TCP.
Kholkar has demanded that a joint site inspection be held along with the Chimbel panchayat authorities, villagers, complainant, and the property owner.
Finally, Kholkar has further urged the deputy town planner to pass orders to revoke the NOC for the project after ascertaining the ground reality.
Deputy town planner K Ashok Kumar has assured complainant Kholkar to look into the issue after cross-checking the details.
