While Mini India Park project may have caught the headlines for quite some time, the promoter of project, Ram Agrawal, on Sunday spoke out for the first time unveiling plans and outlining the benefits it could offer to Quelossim villagers.

Speaking to reporters at Quelossim on Sunday during a site visit, Agrawal said politicians were misleading villagers over the project.

He said the project was not being taken up in any khazan land and the ownership of Form I & XIV clearly states that there are no khazan lands in the area. Agrawal also said that there would be no construction activity in the project and it would only have floating platforms that would host emblems of various important symbolic and iconic institutions depicting the culture and essence of India.

Ruling out any development in No Development Zone and hitting out at Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha, Agrawal said when there was no construction coming up in the water body, there was no question of NDZ affecting the project as claimed by the MLA.

Agrawal also claimed Saldanha was misleading villagers and that there was no five star hotel or a housing project planned in the property.

Hitting out further at Saldanha, Agrawal said issues projected by Saldanha
