Hailing the just tabled 2023-24 Goa Budget as Atmanirbhar Goem, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that steps to ensure drive-in tourists enjoy a hassle-free intra-state road journey among other initiatives in the tourism sector are a good move by the State government.
“The sticker system for the tourists traveling in their vehicles will help the smooth movement of tourists,” the minister said while addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Panaji on Saturday.
While presenting the Budget on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced unique stickers for tourists to prevent them from alleged police harassment while traveling anywhere in the State.
Khaunte also hailed the government’s budgetary allocation for promoting Goa beyond beaches, including encouraging caravan tours and wellness tourism.
