The Shristhal panchayat provided its sweepers with uniforms, while school students were given prizes during a cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat campaign in the village.
The Directorate of Panchayats organised a programme in Shristhal Panchayat under its Swachh Bharat Mission on Information, Education and Communication, in collaboration with the Panchayat, Biodiversity Management Committee, Village Development Committee and other committees in the village.
Shrishthal Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar flagged off a road show and a cleanliness drive then took place at Mokhard and Khalwadem.
Uniforms were later distributed to sweepers, while prizes were given to winners of the essay writing and painting competition for high school students.
