Following the Railway Board’s decision to resume halts for two long-distance trains at Canacona, the Trivandrum-LTT (Mumbai) Netravati Express (16346) will make a halt of 2 minutes at about 4 am on Sunday.
Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar is also likely to flag-off the LTT-Trivandrum Netravati Express (16345) at Canacona KRC Station on Sunday at about 11.30 pm.
According to sources, Tawadkar’s office wrote to the Regional Traffic Manager (KRC) Karwar Region, to allow him five minutes to flag-off the Netravati Express (16345) bound for Trivandrum bound at about 11.30 pm on Sunday
Sources said Tawadkar and his supporters will be at the Canacona railway station to hold a brief programme on Sunday night.
The LTT bound Netravati ExpressTrain (16346), which left Trivandrum on Saturday, is scheduled to arrive Canacona at about 3.55 am on Sunday and will leave for Margao after a making a halt of 2 minutes.
Sources further informed that though the two long-distance trains will resume their halts at KRC Station, Canacona, from Sunday, the Canacona KRC Station has not issued any reservation tickets on either ways to any of the two Netravati Express trains plying daily towards LTT Mumbai (Train 16346) or Trivandrum-Kerala (Train 16345).
