In the last two years, Pramod Sawant-led government in the State has issued a total of 40 transfer orders to officials, in what looks like punishment transfers to those who don't dance to their tunes.
Many officers were transferred four to five times during these two years, some within a gap of few days between the two transfers of some officials.
The officials who prefer to abide by the law and put notings on the controversial files and don't bow down to unlawful demands of the ministers have been transferred umpteen times.
Some officials have been given downgraded postings or kept without posting with status as awaiting posting.
Arvind Bugade, Ashutosh Apte, Sanjiv Gadkar, Deepak Bandekar, Vikas Gaunekar, Agnelo Fernandes, Narayan Gad, Biju Naik, Prasanna Acharya, Parag Nagarsekar are some of the officers who served dedicatedly during Manohar Parrikar's tenure are now suffering from repeated transfers from one department to another.
Arvind Bugade has been again and again transferred from Handicraft, Textile & Coir Department, Mormugoa Municipal Council, Mines Department and then again to Handicraft, Textile & Coir Department.
Ashutosh Apte has been transferred to State Registrar, Mines Department, as Additional Inspector General of Prison and then again to State Registrar.
Sanjiv Gadkar was transferred on different posts of Tourism Department, Mopa land acquisition officer, administrator to Sanjivani Sugar factory, South Goa Zilla Panchayat Chief Officer.
Deepak Bandekar has been posted to Commercial Tax, Industries, Protocol and Information, and Publicity Department.
Vikas Gaunekar has been posted as North Goa Additional Collector, State Registrar, Human Rights Commission secretary, additional secretary to the Health Department.
Agnelo Fernandes has been posted to ST Corporation, South Goa Additional Collector, Chief Officer of Margao municipality, GSIC land acquisition officer.
Narayan Gad to the Information and publicity department, land acquisition department, Panchayat, Additional Collector.
Biju Naik has been posted as additional secretary to Governor, administrative director in PWD, Margao chief officer, state registrar, and general administration.
Prasanna Acharya has been transferred many times. He has been posted as Mines Director, Additional Collector, Secretary Ravindra Bhavan, Rajbhasha Director, and was also kept without posting for some time.
Parag Nagarsekar has been posted in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Social Welfare Department, IDC land acquisition officer, Kala Academy, Konkani Academy.
Gurunath Pilarnkar has been posted in Art and Culture, Kala Academy, Prison, Urban Development.

PANAJI: While Goa Public Service officials are suffering as a result of multiple transfers, government organisations have decided to remain mum on the issue.
During the tenure of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, there seemed to be less interference by ministers. However, now many ministers whose ego has been hurt due to uprightness of these officials have been harassing them by transferring them as per their whims and fancies.
